What to Wear with (Faux) Leather Leggings

My personal favorite from this past season: leather leggings. 
Here’s what I hear every time these guys are discussed......

What would I wear them with? What if they are too tight and I look like an actress from Grease? Are they too inappropriate for casual wear?  Your answer: Almost anything, you will if you pair them with a leather coat and red pumps-but that’s awesome, and finally, No they are no more “inappropriate” than leggings.

Although leather itself can be intimidating, the right cut and partnering takes the look from wannabe biker to edgy chic (my FAVORITE look).  

All you have to do to ensure your look doesn't come off tacky is the 101 move to be aware of where you are purchasing your leather.  You don’t have to break the bank but higher quality names are going to have a higher quality took to them.  Express has a great selection that includes leggings that have leather incorporated into the traditional material so if you aren't ready to take the plunge you can use these as training wheels. The pair I have from H&M have the faux leather on the outside but the inside is regular material.  I highly recommend getting these so that they don’t feel constricting or awkward if you’re not use to sporting faux leather while out and about.

If you want to keep it classic opt for an over-sized black sweater and accessorize, going for more of a casual look, top it off with a chambray and boots.
